I participated in the workshops and model development group for the Western Sydney model. I am also part of the RCFTWYL National Youth Reference Group.
I was provided the opportunity to contribute to contribute to an academic paper (Hosseini et al., 2025).Â
The Western Sydney model was co-designed with young people and service providers, across several workshops and groups.
The most improvement in 15 to 24 years old symptomatic mental disorders, cumulative MH-related emergency department presentations, and cumulative self-harm hospitalizations was with a combination of doubling the growth rate of specialised mental health services and of online services as well as implementing technology-enabled integrated care (Hosseini et al., 2025).

I was part of the Culturally Diverse citizen jury/community panel, where we reviewed the evidence.
These recommendations from both citizen juries/community panels answer the question, "Should we, the people of Western Sydney, continue to invest in the health system in the same way as we have in the past?".
